DESCRIPTION:
Braille is a form of tactile writing learned and used by the visually impaired, including individuals who are blind, deaf, blind, or who have low vision. The principle utilized in the Braille is that using engraving machine to drill a series of holes in the substrate delineating the location of the Braille dots. Then you insert spheres into the holes which provide a tactile raised Braille message. The raised pattern of dots represent different characters and can be read with the eyes, as well. Braille is also used by many cultures and languages.
“Braille signage” refers to tactile ADA signs that can be read by the blind and visually impaired. The ADA requires you have appropriate signage for all permanent locations in your facility. Tactile ADA braille signs are legally required to mark all permanent building rooms or spaces in U.S. public and commercial buildings and use braille per ADA sign requirements.
These braille signs are mainly used for wayfinding and identification purposes. One of the primary benefits of Braille signs is that they enable individuals with visual impairments to navigate public spaces confidently. Custom Braille signs are important for all businesses, especially those that have large establishments such as malls, grocery stores, and hotels. Braille signs need to be installed in entrances, parking areas, elevators, and emergency exits.
Installing Braille signs help with your company’s branding strategy because it will give customers the impression that the brand accepts and recognizes differently-abled individuals and that the brand abides with the law. Therefore, your company will appear to be more reliable, legitimate, well-managed, and detail-oriented.
